How to Prepare a Marketing Plan for your Bussiness...

I have observed that formulators of marketing plan frequently lose perspective of the fact that an effective marketing plan must not only be able to sell a product or a service but must be able to build a profitable preferred brand. In other words, it should continuously satisfy customers better than competition and at a profit.

So to achieve this objective, I have detailed the points and sections that must be covered in a Marketing Plan to guide students and entrepreneurs who wish to formulate their own plans for their Income generating project or their actual business. However, it does not mean that you have to include all points suggested. The paper discussion attempts to provide you with the details that might be in a Marketing Plan be it service or product. Though, you can actually remove certain items of the plan if it is not applicable to your operation or add specific programs or strategies that might be effective in achieving your objectives. In other words, you should be able to identify the needs of your business. Most often, we stucked ourselves with formats provided by books and sites on the internet. We forced ourselves to fit with the requirements enumerated in our reference books. We become very mechanical in coming up with our plans. Just a word of advice, books, journals and other information from the internet should be evaluated well before deciding to use it as a model for your business. Otherwise, you might end up changing the existing model of your business and lose the very essence of your existence. It is therefore paramount to focus on the needs of your business and your market.

In a similar article, I have included the details of formulating a Marketing PLan for your business. I hope it would guide you in your efforts to come up with a pretty much creative and yet scientific plan for your business.
